Teachers, in general, are undervalued for the hard work they put in — especially since they are being critiziced as a whole during these delicate school system topics roaming in today’s news. Major kudos to the teachers who are level-headed when dealing with their students and are striving so effing hard to prepare our scholars of tomorrow. I appreciate your work, and please consider my honorary internet hats-off to you.
But to those who are outright discriminatory and blatantly singling out people whose actions are not even remotely comparable to what their kind of “people” do in class, they, along with the nonsensical behaviors of lewd assholes in the school system, need to:
1. have a blue spoonful of semen,
2. be taped up face, and
3. have swarming cockroaches all over them.
… and perhaps some blood sucking leeches on your genitals, because by-golly that’s all you should ever have sucking on you.
You are the ones who are bringing the integrity of the system down.
And the “best” part of it all is that students of various ages, are barely being heard. Where’s the justice when their stories may not (aka won’t) stand with the police? A verbal “He touched me” is just not enough evidence to consider taking out the teacher. It won’t be until 3 schools later and multiple unfathomable scandals, will a teacher be booted by having a garage-full of video tapes.
It’s all after-the fact and people just keep turning their heads.
Maybe someone should have listened to little John or Jane Doe, asshole.
LAUSD, I’m glad you are in the process of reevaluating the people within the system so that you can rip out the definition of a “teacher” in its entirety from their lives.
And it’s a sad fact that the shittiest news are top stories — they somehow manage to instill fear that IS necessary to be aware of, but so happens to overshadow most of the good stories by about, oh say…. exponentially.
And yet, Joe the monkey from the nearby Zoo gets a whopping 30 seconds of air-time.
Love is being unrestricted, willing and free. It is being generous to those other than your kin. It is admitting being foolish for actions exceeding the necessary. It is seeing through the blindness. It is calculating and overcoming the risks. It is surpassing petty bickering. It is both planning ahead and being spontaneous. It is getting over closed doors and opening new ones. It is the journey.
It is a compromise with someone. It is a satisfaction with yourself.

Some notable events that happened this PAST 2011 year:
To the birth of three beautiful baby girls: CASSANDRA, CHRISTIANE, and CELENI, all of which I was able to have the honor of being a godmother to all three. Congratulations and good luck to KUYA JON, ATE CATHY, KUYA CHRISTIAN, ATE KYRA, and ATE JENN as being parents and guardians for all these 3 cutie-pies.
To NIKKI’S 18th birthday - I was glad to be a part of it. Now you’re a woman so… go out and do woman things :P lol. Thank you TRIXIE, for always being the bomb and for our meet-ups this year (even if they were only probably less than a handful of times this year). Damn, responsibility. To all my family and cousins here in the states, KUYA JEFF, JAY-E, ATE JOANNE & KUYA REYNAN and my godson JOSHUA, CYRILL and CZARINA, JAY and LANI, WILLOW, CHINO, ZAKI. And for everyone in the Philippines. This year has been a memorable one for us.
To friendships from high school at different spots such as Crave, Vegas, clubs, bars, graduations, and houses for Thanksgiving! Most especially the girls who have made an impact in my life one way or another:
EVE, SHEILA, VIRG, CHRISTINA, KAROLEEN, EMILY, ALINA, MERRIA, AILEEN, JOY, ALYSSA, SHENICA, TIFFANY. No this is not to purposely exclude people, there are PLENTY more :P I’ve just seen more of you at least once or more than once this year ^_^ I wish for us to not only be content and happy with where we are at this time of our lives, but also cherish the friendships that we’ve shared for greater than 5 years, some even about 20 years!
To rekindling neighborhood friendships again – DENNIS – it was great biking with you for a minute, and shared some Starbucks time together, HAZEL – For seeing you and chatting it up during Rayson’s party and our get-together, LEIGH – I’m really rooting for you and your fashion endeavors cuz you ARE one fierce fuck if that’s an appropriate way to put it, and you’ve been always a good friend, CLAIRE – Where are you, man? Lol, I kid. I’m happy that you got a new job and taking care of making that paper, and for the many times we’ve had especially during the beginning of the year, they were especially notable and great! I’m really glad we were able to kick it a lot more this year than the past… 5 years combined? Heh. PAUL – Starbucks buddy, I wish you the best on your new job, and I’m actually really happy that I was able to witness it when you were on the phone at Starbucks!, JAED – Always great seeing you – You’ve been MIA, but nonetheless, good luck with everything, YURY – To the random times we’ve had calling each other to bitch about our work and other things, I salute you, woman. I’m always glad to at least include you in my list of fatty-food friends. But if and when it happens, someone please plan it! Thank you, MARK, for being not only my study buddy, but a good friend who’s there to talk to just about anything… Mostly about… this one person… ;) but nonetheless, always there. CAS, it’s always a pleasure to see you when you’re in town. Til the next time, enjoy the extreme weather up north! ^_^ I’m happy that we were all able to see each other this past October (and other times) to catch up on things. I don’t know when we’ll be able to see each other like that again, but when it does happen, someone plan it, thanks!
To being a part of a wedding in Vegas - Good luck to DANNY and AMBER! Though it kills me still to miss your vows, I am thrilled to have been a part of your special day. May you two grow stronger together in life and love, and hope that 2012 will unlock more adventures for you two.
To MITCH, I’m wishing you the best while you’re out in training out in the Airforce. Thank you for the wine and dine, the outings we had before you left. HUA!
To making great work friends – AMANDA, JOE Z, and SANDRA. For the most of my 2011 year, you all have been a part of it in the most positive way. Our times at Barney’s are always awesome, and our wallets jus became a little thinner every time we are out. You have become more than really good friends – despite my MIA-ness. I wish I could be a part of many more outings with you (yeah, I get jealous :P don’t judge me lol) and well, I hope there will be more this coming year.
To my love, SHAUN, it will almost be 8+ years on January 3, 2012, and I think our relationship this year has been a tough trial run for the both of us: Your schooling and new job, and my attempt at passing these boards and my job too. Despite the times when we were both at the pits, there have been so much more great times this year that has helped us grow together. Be happy that I still miss you every day, even if it’s been 8+ years. I love you.
There are many other things to be thankful for, but it is especially the closest people in my life, thank you.
Cheers! Onto 2012, bitches!
Why does this kind of advertisement work so well?… So, are you into green apples like those?

Sometimes you can’t just dust yourself off and try again, Aaliyah.

I thought I told you I never wanted to see you again. And yet, here you are. A reminder of a distant past for which I closed, but was really just ajar. The sliver cracks allowed a breeze of temptation for you to pull. And it worked, for in increments of time I inhaled your gusts of wind - I’m full. You embody me whole and destroy my world so sublime. I exhale hard enough to push you away, hoping you destruct over time.
I thought I told you I never wanted to see you again. But somehow I need you to wake me up - Failure’s no friend.

To those who made love that 1 day, started eating for 2, breastfed ‘til 3, tucked them in b4 bedtime, came home at 5 to cook dinner, woke up at 6 to help them get ready for school, watch cartoons until 7, are always there to be their playm8, and have held them for 9 long months, I give you a 10 for being the amazing person you are.
